Media Subscription Products
Media Subscription or "Memberships" is one of the most popular business models allowing consumers access to various sources of content for a low monthly subscription fee.
DAS provides two main types of subscription based products:
DRM-based Subscription Service - end users (consumers) will be able to stream or download an unlimited amount of content through their subscription, play them as often as desired, and transfer them to any device that supports Windows Media DRM 10. These streaming or downloaded files will be encrypted and linked to licenses that have start and end dates. At the end of the billing period, the consumer connects to the content service provider and licenses are automatically refreshed provided the consumer has paid the subscription renewal fee. Otherwise, the licenses simply expire and the consumer's access to the content is revoked.
DAS Media Membership/Subscription Hosted Application - Flexible membership and subscription management hosted application. This application allows to setup paid-membership areas that provide access to various types of media or any other content.
